01 Background
Metis Homes needed a visual approach that could highlight the uniform design of their 2-bedroom homes while ensuring each plot felt distinct. It was also important to showcase the development’s sustainability features, like green roofs and air-source heat pumps.
Additionally, to give buyers a complete understanding of the site we needed to include the surrounding context, particularly an apartment block designed in the same character as the sale homes but allocated for social housing.
02 The story
Our approach focused on creating individuality for each home by depicting them at different times of day and dressing the scenes with varied details, giving each plot its own personality. This strategy allowed us to overcome the challenge of uniform house designs while maintaining the cohesive feel of the overall development. We also carefully modelled and integrated the green roofs and air-source heat pumps to highlight the eco-friendly nature of the project. The architectural detailing and elevation features were meticulously modelled and rendered with precision, ensuring that every intricate design element, from façade textures to structural nuances, was accurately captured to reflect the development’s sophisticated craftsmanship
Beyond the individual homes, we modelled the apartment block within the development, even though it wasn’t for sale, to provide buyers with a full understanding of the site’s layout. By balancing architectural precision with these thoughtful design elements, we offered a visually engaging and informative view of the entire development.
