A scheme for 51 Flats arranged over 3 blocks with varying storey heights and 9 houses with associated parking, refuse/cycle stores and landscaping for Portsmouth City Council.
This site consisted of two different build methods, with the houses being constructed of timber frame, and the three separate flatted blocks being formed using lightweight steel frame. The main exterior design pallet across the site consisted of buff brick, render and tata urban colorcoat cladding.
It was identified early in the process that one house was to be a fully functioning DPU (Disabled Person Unit). Working with the client and local Occupational Therapists, KSA helped to develop the unit to accommodate the end user’s needs.
